Light the background separately
Separate lighting on the backdrop lifts it away from the product and gives the AI a clean boundary to find.
Use a contrasting backdrop
A white mug on a white sweep is the hardest possible case. A mid-grey sweep costs nothing and cuts out far more reliably.
Mind reflections and shadows
Glossy products reflect the room. A simple diffuser or a sheet of tracing paper tames the highlights.
Shoot slightly wider than you need
Extra margin gives you room to crop to a marketplace ratio afterwards.
